Until We Meet Again

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Gracie Mae Allen

Gracie was my first weim. We got her a 6 weeks. We called her our little mud turtle as she was such a dark blue color and she was all ears and legs. She was my baby, my best friend. Where ever I was you would find Gracie she was definitely the Velcro weim. We spent many hours in the pool lounging together. She loved to play hide and seek and she could find me every time. She could never get enough Frisbee. I couldn't walk fastest enough for her so came up the the bike idea and should would run beside me. I was so blessed to have her and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about her and miss her. Gracie is the reason I fell in love with the breed and started volunteering. RIP my beautiful girl until we meet again.  Momma loves you.

Duke Allen
R.I.P September 2018

Duke came into our lives end of 2013. He was surrendered to WWR and I went and picked him up brought him home to foster. I knew at that moment his was going to make me a foster failure we just couldn’t let him go he was ours forever. He was so laid I always joked that he reminded me of a surfer dude. Bless his heart he was our gently giant who loved everyone and everything, he gave us so much love and joy.  He loved being on the pontoon and taking walks at the campground. Rest in peace my handsome boy and run free with Gracie until I come to the bridge to get you.  Momma loves you…
